So a guy has a huge crush on a girl and tries hard to get her to notice him, but the girl isn't interested or can't read the signals. Which Ryan Adams song(s) do you think best sums up these feelings?

Pretty much anything from Heartbreaker, especially "Damn, Sam I Love a Woman That Rains", "To be Young", "Come Pick Me Up" and "To be the One". But if this friend wants to use this song as an attempt to win this girl over, my advice is don't even bother hehehehe.

He's right though. It was funny the first time. But most Ryan Adams fans have heard that way too often to be funny any more. Just don't go using that at the bar the next time you meet a hot Ryan Adams fan chick.

Agreed. The only thing that concerns both Ryan Adams and Bryan Adams that's funny is the difference in quality. I wish this question were about Bob Marley... I've been condoling myself about my love life with a specific girl (which has been all but non-existent) for the last roughly four years, by listening to Bob Marley's Waiting in Vain. It's like he took the words straight out of my mouth.

I wouldn't say not to bother. If she's got feelings, maybe she just needs to know he's feeling the same for a form of reassurance? I'd say those songs would show her that's the case.

You'll get no sympathy from me. If he didn't throw a fit every time someone made that reference* it probably would've just gone away by now. He created the monster with his ego, and he's the only one to blame for people goading him because of it. Get over yourself (B)ryan.

*He once had a fan thrown out of a Nashville venue in 2002 for requesting Bryan's ode to pawn shop six-strings

I wouldn't say it was his ego, so much as his substance abuse and his volatility.

That's exactly what it was. I'm glad he cleaned up.

Actually, I read an article this morning about him playing 'Summer of '69' at an Aussie show after someone shouted for it. It's a good thing that's he's accepted it, even if he doesn't like it. The spoiled rock star thing is SO played out. Hopefully he's over whatever it was that caused him to be such a douche about it...
