I was just getting ready to post this.

This is what is wrong with the music industry these days.

The guy maybe able to sing, I don't know really. The only time I've ever heard him is when I can't change the tv station fast enough, or some shit like that.
but anyway, I know that lots of you don't like Ben Harper, but BH has more talent in his big toe than A. Lambert has and BH is still an unknown, but this dick is EVERYWHERE !

    just pisses me off.

    end rant.
    Peace, Love.

    Who the "" F * * K "" is 'Adam Lambert'???.....PMSL
  • There was no way that Rolling Stone was not going to let Adam Lambert not be artist of the year. He is their little untalented darling who got the cover before he even released an album. That same cover put me over the edge and caused me to cancel my subscription that I have had for 15 years. They won't stop sending it though. It is really starting to piss me off. :x
  • I don't understand; how can PJ get Album and Song of the year, but not Artist of the year?

Because readers don't know shit about music and vote him for artist but vote for Pearl Jam for both Album and Song. I honestly thought U2 or Pearl Jam should've gotten artist. Those readers were probably all women who voted for him.

That's like the same readers voting for Green Day for all 3 categories in the decade poll when both albums were terrible and the songs were awful. People were saying Green Day wrote a great political album, but we know Pearl Jam blew American Idiot out of the water with Avacado. IMO, this is who should've gotten decade: Aritst: Jack White (that should've been unanimous), Album: A few to toss around between Kid A, Elephant, All That You Can't Leave Behind, Is This It?, etc. Song: Seven Nation Army or Beautiful Day would've worked for me.
    Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Man, Im actually bummed that PJ is even on this friggin list. F*#K rolling stone! They lost their integrity a long time ago in my book. I cringe to even see PJ mentioned in the same list as many of those marginal talent "pop" stars.
I hold the pain, release me!
  • Dern my curiosity! I went to youtube and listened to some of Adam Lambert stuff to see if it was any good. All I have to say is WTF. He sucks.

I agree with you so much.

  • I think you're all being a little delusional here.

The only reason IMO that PJ got those two spots are because of the thread that was on here where everyone was voting everyday.

The rabid PJ following that is on here has manipulated many a poll over the years.
    NERDS!

Maybe... but don't you think the fans of the other bands had similar organized efforts to vote for their favorites?

And it is supposed to be the public's choice, so if 8 million pearl jam fans stuff the ballot box then I guess the public spoke and the results are no less legitimate.

The editors of RS have placed Backspacer at #11 on the Best Album list and The Fixer at #6 on the Best Single list.

I agree. I love 21st Century Breakdown. Not as much as Backspacer but it is still really good.

Isn't he the guy that just made out with some other guy during an awards show? I thought I heard something on the news and everyone was in an uproar apparently. Other than that, I don't know who he is.
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?
