particular drug song, help!

there is this song i use to hear on classic rock radio that reminded me heavily of the stone's mother's little helper but i cant seem to find the song. it sounded like the early stones, kinks, animals kinda band. not saying it couldnt be from the 70's but it had that early rock and roll sound.

that song isnt it but it has the right sound......
Pretty tough with no hints....doesn't sound like Mothers Little Helper tho... that's the first that came to mind from my childhood

Is it well known or a bit obscure? I'm assuming obscure or you should know it, right? Not something like White Rabbit?
was it blatantly about drugs? or full of innuendos?

doesn't have a " mothers little helper" sound though really.
Do you happen to know the era, like 60's 70's Psycodelic sounding or any more details? Is it a song played frequently like every day?

what part of the song sounds like the mothers little helper? Is it the guitar part, vocal melody, rythm? Anything you can add in helps, i've been trying to think of this since this was posted.
the early rock n roll vibe. that very hard strumming sound. like i said the whole kinks, animals, stones sound from way back then. just the straight forward drum beat. ive check what i saw as singles from those bands. if i didnt know better id swear it was the kinks...but i cant find a kinks song that matches the subject matter.
