    I can't believe I'm agreeing with a Mets fan, but this article is from June. Soundgarden may reunite, but it absolutely won't be at the expense of PJ. They are all too close to allow something like this to happen. This thread needs to go away. Its giving people too much anxiety when signing on the porch.

    Chris Cornell? For real? Have you heard what he's putting out.. A new Soundgarden album most likely would be less than mediocre.

    I'd rather Matt stay with the band than ever hear a new Soundgarden album. They are old news.

    It's possible Soundgarden might reunite for a show or two like what Green River did last year, but for full blown Soundgarden tour, I doubt it. Plus if happened, Matt's gonna be one tired out drum play, Playing for Pearl Jam & Soundgarden. Pearl Jam show's are already confirmed & booked in Europe next summer. First of many NA show's about to be confirmed for Spring '10. Pearl Jam is still touring for Backspacer which the record has only been released 4 month's ago.

    PJ is Cameron's cash cow now. With royalties from four albums, all of the bootlegs, and no sign of the band letting up there's not a single logical reason he'd walk away.

    And if he did, you know Ed would be clasping on to his leg as he walked away. :lol:

    I admit, it would be cool to see a 1-2 show reunion of SG, but the ONLY way I see Matt doing an album with them is if PJ goes on an extended break...which doesn't seem to be the case for a while.

    They were ok back in the day. I don't think I could sit through an entire Soundgarden album these days.

    Hear hear. For fuck's sake, I'm sick of this subject. It's getting tired and old. If SG were to reform, it would be for a brief time only. I'm sure Matt would never leave PJ, too good a band. Too risky to leave PJ for an old band that may not be successful next time round. Long live Matt with PJ!!

    Matt's not leaving PJ. End of story. The band wants him in the group. He wants to be in the band. I think he was added to be on vocals to help glue him to the drum seat years ago. And PJ is MUCH more lucrative than SG. He's going nowhere...

    alright, how many of you that WANT Matt to reunite with SG ever seen SG back in the day ?

    I loved them, saw them, and lets just say.............. they sounded much better on record than live.
