Looks like North America might come first after all...
*confirmed*
"Pearl Jam, are among the acts set for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, to take place the weekends of April 23-25 and April 29-30/May 1-2 at Fair Grounds Race Course.
Pearl Jam's first confirmed North American show of 2010 will take place on a day to be announced during the second weekend. Also on tap for that portion of the event are Van Morrison, Widespread Panic, theNeville Brothers, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Elvis Costello and the Sugarcanes, Allen Toussaint and Gov't Mule.
The overall bill will be rounded out by Darius Rucker, Steel Pulse, Baaba Maal, King Sunny Ade, Elvin Bishop, the Blind Boys Of Alabama, the Gipsy Kings, the Dead Weather, the Wayne Shorter Quartet, Galactic and Average White Band.
As always, Jazz Fest will boast scores of local live acts as well as food and crafts.
The 2009 edition of Jazz Fest drew more than 400,000 fans, up from the approximately 375,000 reported the previous year by festival producers."

hahaha...I dont know who to believe now.
But I do believe Joe who posted the thread about the US dates coming this week. He knows what hes talking about.
p.s. I am really hoping for a North American Tour. Mainly MSG in April or May
2008: MSG I, MSG II, Newark(EV)
2009: Albany 1-2(EV), Philly 3
2010: Boston, MSG I
2013: Buffalo, Brooklyn II, Hartford
2016: MSG 1, MSG II, Fenway 1
So now the only question is do I buy a 4-day pass or do I wait til they announce which day Pearl Jam is playing and just get a ticket for that day??? hmmm
Maybe they are on top of touring

not to question joe, but I do want to add my two pennies...
Joe seems to know someone in the business, but the person he knows has been incorrect before, recently, like saying that Bruce Springsteen, Chris Cornell, Ben Harper, Bono and more were going to be at Halloween, which Ed completely dispelled on stage and not one of them were there.
Last night I asked joe why Bruce Springsteen, Chris Cornell, Ben Harper and Bono didn't show up like he said they would, and Joe said "im just relaying what a good friend of mine said to me". But he did show me a number of photos of his friend with members of metallica, and some other images of his friend with metal bands, so his friend has some connections.
Though since I used to work with metallica and used to handle their passes at arenas, I could tell his friend had a "sticky" pass (not too hard to get) and not a record-label laminate nor a tour laminate (for the serious industry people). So I'm just wondering how accurate his friend's info is. I think Joe himself is just being honest, and passing on everything he hears from this friend. Here's to hoping we hear that tour announcement this week!
