this stuff is scary
the article says some other guy wrote it, but a conversation on a news station I heard had a Minnesota rep, cannot remember her name off the top of my head said this is Barney Frank's baby. Maybe he was puppeteer and this guy is writing it to sneak by the mainstream? I think Deb Hillstrom was the source

With shrinking water supply in the dry parts of the US, the sensible solution will be to regulate the supply so that it isn't overtaxed. Someone must DO it, and that's what the EPA is there for, right?
When private ownership and really important considerations about the welfare of the population at large is at stake, private ownership will lose out, and rightfully so. Since the economic principle of "the tragedy of the commons" seems to hold true, then one can't at all expect all the users of a common good like water to use it sensibly and sustainably. You can be assured that they try to max out their own benefit of it -> overtaxing. That is, there are people that are responsible about it no doubt, and they might even be in the majority. But it only takes a minority who either doent give a shit or can't afford to give a shit to set the commons in jeopardy. Only thing that works is regulation, and a regulatory agency with real teeth. Which seems to be what's happening.

What's next ? Last week it was air now it's water :x :wtf: This is Tyranny plain and simple. They want to take the word Navigable out of the existing law so that the Federal Gov.,the EPA,and the Army corp of Engineers can by dictate by fiat tell you what to do on your own land whether you like it or not.
This is not a republic anymore when you have bureaucracies dictating policy and threatning congress to do what it says "or else we are going to have command and control economy " these are our private property rights and they are protected under the Bill Of Rights.
This is not a republic anymore when you have un elected branches of government and bureaucracies doing things like this and getting away with it.Post edited by WaveCameCrashin on0 -

I think the scariest part of the article, if not the funniest, is this:
"Fox News' Shannon Bream takes a fair and balanced look at the controversy in a three-part series."
