I totally forgot about this! I was just shuffling some music on my computer, and "Johnny Guitar" came on...only it wasn't Pearl Jam! It's track #10 on Grant Lee Phillips' 2007 album, "Strangelet". Hard to tell from the lyrics if it was inspired by the same Johnny Guitar that Pearl Jam references in their song though...
Another little piece of trivia - Johnny "Guitar" Watson took his stage name from a 1954 Joan Crawford film.
