Naturally, I left out the tours that did not have official boots.

My overall fave is 06. most diverse setlists, the quality of the boots is unmatched, and I just get "that feeling" when listening to them. Also, Even Flow drum solo...cannot go wrong there!!!

I agree especially the euro ones.

The 2009 have some eally good ones but there is not enough crowd volume for my tastes. I like to hear the crowd singing along.

  • 2000.

The original PJ Boot tour, along with Touring Band.

These shows and CD's were great.

Yield, Binaural, No Code and the holy 3.

I was fortunate to see a few shows in 2000 and the energy was high. Ed's voice was still strong.

I agree...I just think that the setlists in 06 were the best. Most different songs played. Until 09 of course...

I just decided that I wanna collect every show I can get my hands on. I have about 60 (mostly 03 and 05 but some scattered in the mid 90s) so far via a leisurely pace, but Im about to enter full onslaught collecting mode!

If anyone can suggest the best route to go about doing this, send me a PM.
  • I got about 50 boots, but my favorite year is 2006. I love the original 2000 boots with the special digipack format, but 2006 had such great setlists. So diverse, just a homerun by the boys that year.

  • BEST YEAR 2000
    BEST FAVORITE ATHENS 06
BEST BOOTLEG SOUND - LONDON O2
MOST PLAYED THIS YEAR BERLIN 09
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

Yeah because they started breaking out the rare stuff
But I go to a bunch of shows every tour and there is always one that stands out from the others-(note: just the northeast)
    98-MSG 2
    00-jones beach 2
03-uniondale (honorable mention to boston 2 and holmdel-which I did not go to)-all underrated and overlooked shows due to the experiment and MSG)
    05-borgata 2
    06-albany (honorable mention to NJ2)
    08-hartford
    09-philly 2

These shows are all equal to me, I walked out of each saying "man, that was fucking great"

If the '05's were released on flac/cd like the other tour's did, it would so move up in the ranks.
  • Well the Euro 2000 boots started my fandom with Pearl Jam, always have a soft spot for those. Warm sound.

Loved the 2000 tour in general. Very tight, tense shows.

    2003 was disappointing, sloppy.

2006 US & Euro was great. Band were on fire

2008 I can't really judge, the boots were unlistenable

2009 sounds really good. the 02 boot, LA 3 & 4. All classics

I agree with this %100. MAYBE one day, it will be released in FLAC?

I think Ed's voice was the strongest in 03'. It's scary how great it is.
