Go and see this band. Its basically what would happen if Devendra Banhart fronted The Arcade Fire, but instead of indie rock, played 60's 70's influenced rock. Very unique band. It was odd having the bands cd already, listening to it, seeing them on Letterman, and then having them play at the venue next door to me, and then working security for the band, opening doors for them, telling them where the lou was and so on.

They whipped the crowd in a frenzy, an 8 piece band, people were singing along with every word, like this was something that was on MTV constantly or on the radio constantly, when in reality this is a fairly new, and indie band.

I got the feeling, this band has the potential to be the next Arcade Fire

I like them too. I like the live videos on Youtube better then the album though, I like the free-form energy they have live. I also like the female singers voice, adds more texture to the songs.

Saw them this past weekend at Hangout Fest. Loved 'em. Didn't know much about them...still don't...but looking forward to exploring their stuff. Aside from the folks I sought out, they were the big takeaway for me. Well, them and Gary Clark Jr. Great live show. Looking forward to the new album :)

They play them on my Pandora station all the time, totally into everything I've heard so far!

I had never heard of them until they did a video of Do You Realize? with the Flaming Lips at the Hollywood Cemetary. I haven't actually looked into their music though, I guess now is as good time as ever.

I love this band. I've seen them a few times and they never disappoint. They definitley feed off the energy from the crowd. They are a great band to see outdoors if you get the chance. Maybe it's the inner hippie in them.

Their new album "Here" is my second favorite album of the year. Outstanding front to back. For such a big band they have a mellowed out sound I really like.

Didn't know these guys have a new one coming out in July, and also just found out they'll be playing a free festival in my town (Atlanta) in less than 2 weeks. Downloaded the first single, "Better Days," last night and have had it on repeat for awhile this morning. Great stuff if you like ESATMZ -- very much looking forward to the album.

"This Life" is one of the best songs to come out this year, IMO!

  • Got the new album, should be arriving in a day or so. Everything they've done has been great, so I have no doubt I'll like this one a lot. The new single is sweet. They're a band I would love to catch live.

Saw 'em headline a festival in Atlanta a couple of weeks back, and they were great. They're getting to the point now where they've got enough material to put on a great hour and a half/two hour show.

I've liked the songs of theirs that I've heard on public radio but I just started exploring their most recent album, and I'm really enjoying it so far!

  • I saw them on the Railroad Revival Tour a couple years ago and was unfamiliar w/ them. I was entirely entertained and promptly got their only album out at that time. Loved it. Now they have two more albums since then and they are great too. Really like this band.
