Bored so...Where will PJ play on 10/22/10 and why?

This thread may be out there but I only look on the 1st page. Since they played Vegas in 00 I think that's out although that would be amazing for many reasons. They always have great shows in Boston, Seattle, and New York. I thought Chicago day/night doubleheader at Wrigley, which Eddie has said a few times he wants to do, but Cubs fans will think that they will be in the World Series at that time and he won't want to jinx it. I'm going to go with Boston only because they always play fun shows there with rare tunes or openings. Although wherever it is, that arena better be big enough to house us. 20,000 seats may not be enough. What are your thoughts

    i'd love red rocks! but i think that late in october it may be too late in the year?
    maybe they'll return to vegas. i am not a fan and really would prefer somewhere else that i'd really enjoy visitng as well as seeing pj live, but whatthefuckever....i'll be there wherever they play. just please have a bajillion 10c tickets. thank you. :mrgreen:

    Definately won't be Fenway for 2 reasons:

    1. Sox will be in the ALCS/WS right about then
    2. A little chilly to play outdoors. I know they played Alpine Valley at freezing temps but I think they would have thought otherwise if they knew it would be that cold.

    If it is Boston, the Garden is a possibility depending if the Bruins and Celtics are out of town. My guess would be either Vegas or Seattle. I hope it is Vegas. I will fly to San Diego, drive to Vegas with my best friend, and spend all night rocking out to Pearl Jam.

    It will be in New York. Why? Because the 25th anniversary which is a much bigger milestone will be in Seattle.

    No offense to those in chicago or ny it just doesnt seem right for it to be anywhere besides seattle

    I doubt NY for a couple of reasons: (1) They are heavily rumoured to be playing there in May. I can't see them coming back that soon after and (2) The band really has no personal connection with NYC. Sure they love to play in NYC, just like Boston, Toronto, etc. but for a 20th anniversary I think there has to be a personal connection.

    If I had to narrow it down to 3 places, I would say it will be either in Seattle, Chicago or Vegas (even though the 10th anniversary was there). San Diego has an outside shot but it is a long shot...

    Just a question, what connection does Pearl Jam have with Vegas? Except they played their 10th anniversary show there and it is a fact that Stone LOVES the slots....nevermind, they will be playing in Vegas on 10/22/10.

    That's awesome! But you live in Houston and word is they are only playing New York and the New England states. That way they can all enroll at small liberal arts colleges and study Emerson and Thoreau while melting our faces off nightly.

    this is the problem with americans, they believe pearl jam will play in the us for their 20 year together but in reality they will be in my backyard in toronto and the reason is becuase i asked them already while eddie was drinking and he believed that you was signed an autograph for me but in reality it was a contract so HA! i will be fair only 1 trillion dollars per seat as my backyard is small and will only fit 5 people.

    please send your money directly to my account in the camens.

    tickets won't last. :D

    however, given that they played their 10th anniversary show in vegas, the whole 'it doesn't seem right unless it's in seattle'...just doesn't seem to fit necessarily. just sayin'. however, i do doubt NY or chicago and lean more towards vegas again or seattle, but...who knows, especially with this band. 8-)

    I hope the 10/22/10 show isn't played in Vegas. It's an asthmatic's worst nightmare place to visit. I remember driving from LA to Las Vega's August '08 during the Ed show's. We stopped by the Mad Greek. Sweet! Then we drove up, coming to Vegas. It was a nightmare. The smog, the dust you could see coming up. Oh mama!!! Our stay was @ the New York New York hotel. They say it's smoke free, well certain places of the hotel. But it's not. Once I opened the door, I almost fainted. My eye's turned blood shot red. I was passed out for the night coming in. I never had this bad asthma since back in Junior High. I promised myself to never go to Vegas again. All the money in the world, free money to blow, even if the wife & kids forced me to go .. Vega is a place I will never visit again. Totally ruined my experience & my lungs. :(

    that is truly my dream!
    most especially since we already have the 2 weeks surrounding the date booked off for vacation. 8-) what an awesome thing it would be!


    however, as much as i might wish it..i really don't imagine it. i think the band will try for a more accessible spot? altho who knows? it IS a GREAT dream! 8-)

    My guess would be Seattle or NYC. I'm throwing NY in because I think it's more accessible to the European fans if they felt inclined to come over too. :geek:
