'There's a lot to be said for here'
These are my favourite pearl Jam years... it has all lead to this, everything that came before was incredibly great but the band is still improving, getting better at their craft and hopefully will continue to do so.0 -
'96-'98
'96 Epic non-Ticketmaster shows for their most diverse and experimental album No Code. And tix were $25. Before Spectrum there was Randalls Island.
'98 Yield. Fav album. For the first time, they released an album and they did an arena tour. There biggest-longest tour they had ever done. Now its standard almost every year (almost) where you can see them a few times. It wasnt always easy or convenient.0 -

good point.
wish some people would keep that in mind at times.*~Pearl Jam will be blasted from speakers until morale improves~*0 -
Mookie Blaylock...JK.
I'm from Adelaide, AUSTRALIA and the first time i ever heard PJ was in Jan 92. I was watching a Saturday morning music video show and ALIVE came on and i've been a fan ever since.
Looking back now what the US was experiencing in the middle of 91 didn't really hit our shores until early 92(or maybe i was just a bit slow).
Thank god for technology or i would still be waiting for the release of Backspacer.
Did anyone else read this post with an Australian accent...didn't realize I was doing it until I was nearly finished.0 -
92-96Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?0 -

1991-1998 are really the golden years of the band for me - they really didn't put a foot wrong in that period, it's an incredible run.
Nothing since then has been quite as consistently, intensely amazing.0 -
