I never really understood who created the song, whose it was first, ect.

Someone give me a quick explanation please =D

    Stone wrote the riff, and both Eddie and Cornell wrote lyrics to it at about the same time.

    yeah stone wrote the music and it was recorded on the tape sent to eddie, eddie over dubbed lyrics...at the same time that was happening, temple was in pre-production, so chris wrote lyrics as well

    Why can't Chris and Eddie just go on vacation together? I feel like they could each hammer like a million songs each out in 7 days, right? At least have enough material for 20 more Into the Wild albums...
