You stated in your initial message - on which i will put over 300* Pearl Jam bootlegs, all in FLAC, and return to you, full of wonderful Pearl Jam goodness, from 1995 right through Christchurch 2009. (Provided Philly is released by that time). *Entire 2000, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009 Official Bootlegs, US 1995 tour, 1996, and a LOT of 1998 audience recordings.
Please explain to me how copying all the above listed bootlegs and giving them for free is not violating copyright laws as well as the 10C rule number 9 which states that "Bootlegs: Selling, linking to, or making offers are not ok. 2 for 1 trades is making profit, not ok." I find that posting your offer on this site extremely surprising, especially since the above list includes the 2009 Official Bootlegs while they are still on sale through the 10C web site. I understand that you are not making a profit from this but I feel you may be illegally taking from the band and 10C income from sales of these bootlegs.
I am not trying to antagonize you but, as I have always taken the rights of musicians who create music that I love and their right to benefit from their intellectual creation very seriously, I felt the urge to ask this question.

1.I'm sure if pearl jam or 10c had a problem with this they woulda contacted the OP.
2. pearl jam has always encouraged trading as long as it isn't material that's available or ed solo tour material.
3. the 10c have not and never will sell previous tours on bootlegs.
4. let the mods or 10c handle this. they don't need a rat to do work for them  .
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
2. pearl jam has always encouraged trading as long as it isn't material that's available or ed solo tour material.
- Yes they encourage this as long as they are (rule 9) audience-recorded PJ shows even-up, ok; not official bootlegs.
3. the 10c have not and never will sell previous tours on bootlegs.
- I think you are wrong on this one. Why are there official bootlegs from 2008 and 2009 on sale in the goods section of this web site for $9.99-14.99?
4. let the mods or 10c handle this. they don't need a rat to do work for them
- I certainly do not appreciate the rat comment when from my point of view I am only asking a question about intellectual property protection and the music from band that I love. I go to work every day and expect to get a pay check out of this. Musicians are the same, even if they do well financially. Let them (Pearl Jam and 10C) decide if they want to give their Official Bootlegs for free through this web site. Having one person buy the official high quality bootlegs and copying them to give them for free to other people is different than distributing an lesser quality audience-recorded bootlegs.

I totally agree with you, it's great to trade and offer the audience recorded gigs but for obvious reasons not the official bootlegs...I download the audience recorded for almost all the 2009 gigs and I bought 5 official of the three shows that I attended and my 2 favorites in America....
3. the 10c have not and never will sell previous tours on bootlegs.
- I think you are wrong on this one. Why are there official bootlegs from 2008 and 2009 on sale in the goods section of this web site for $9.99-14.99?
cause they are still new. i meant previous tours like 90-00. 3 years from now those 08 and 09 official bootlegs won't be easy to get nor will the 10c have them available.

the 10c or pearl jam isn't loosing money from this nor is he taking anything away from the band. all he is doing is offering old shows that the 10c never ever made available and never ever will make available. the 10c and pearl jam respect the trading community very much and knows how much it made the band become more known. hell even ed vedder was a huge bootlegger.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

Once again, the point that I was making is that official current bootlegs are being offered for free by the OP. This was stated in the original post "entire 2000, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009 Official Bootlegs", are being offer. The offer is clearly NOT only for older unavailable bootlegs. He is NOT only "offering old shows that the 10C never ever made available and never ever will make available". If someone copies a currently available official bootleg that is being sold through this web site and copies it for other people, the band is losing money. One would also argue that some official bootlegs from 2006 are still off limits as they are available for a price on iTunes. If the band puts official bootlegs on sale they must care about the income they generate for them. If they did not they would give them for free right now.
I know that Eddie is a huge bootlegger. The problem that I have is that the 10C club made rule # 9 and it is being broken. The solution might be for them to change the rule if the band is OK with this. They have the right to protect their intellectual property or to give it away for free. It is up to them and no one else.
Old audience recorded bootlegs OK, current official ones NOT OK. I really do not know how I can make my point of view any clearer. I certainly will not change my opinion about artists rights to benefits from their creations, as they see fit.

People who visit this board buy the cd's, the t-shirts, the Ten club fee, the concert tickets, the bootlegs, the posters, the merchandise....I certainly do anyway, and i'm sure LeatherMosquitoman does too.
So stop your preaching and let a few lucky guys (me included ) enjoy the effort Leathermosquitoman is doing, and giving us music that we may never have got the chance to hear.
