With all the complaints about the 08 tour sound. I was listening to lollapalooza and I have to say it is the best sounding boot i have ever heard. Everything is perfect. The guitars, the drums, Ed's voice, the volume of the crowd. Who mixed this boot, why didnt they go with this mix for the 08 tour?

After listening to the iTunes clips, I must disagree.

'03 will always sound the best to my ears, followed closely by '06.
  • i think their studio albums sound the best

As far as the boots go, I agree. All of my favorites are from '03 as far as sound quality is concerned.

In my opinion it goes from best to worst (official boots)

    1) 2003
    2) 2006
    3) 2008
    4) 2000
    5) 2005

There is an official FLAC version out there. You used to be able to purchase it from livedownloads.com, but it's long been taken down. For whatever reason it wasn't ever really advertised that it was available, and I'm certain a lot of people who would WANT to know about a FLAC version had no idea one was out there.

I don't know if it's the BEST sounding boot out there, but I think it's pretty damn close. That's a very underrated performance. A lot of people around here seem to kick it to the curb because it was a so-called "greatest hits" set, but I thought they were definitely on top of their game that wonderful night in Grant Park.

yeah, it's dual layerd with itunes on it also. I would hook people up witha B/P of it, but my burner doesn't burn DL discs :(

Sometime in the next month though, through trade, I'm supposed to get a milti-cam shot show of Lolla 07 :)

Damn! I'd love to see this one. Is it quality video or does it look like it's shot from Beirut?

oh, no- it's pro shot. Sorry :(

Once I get the dual-cam shot one- I'll do a B/P probably just for that one :)

I really want to go back into the B/Ping world and hooking people up with great shows, just like it used to be when we had the touch base forum. It's kind of dies here since then- not sure if we are even allowed to do it anymore. I guess I'll find out soon- lol

Totally agree with that list, although I might place 2000 last because Eddie is turned down way to low on those boots, at least the ones I have.

Like I've always said - '03 Philly/Spectrum show is THE best boot ever.
