Lolla Vs Roo Sound

Lolla was my first festival last year and I wouldn't have rather been anywhere, but the sound at ROO seemed head and shoulders above that at LOLLA. I was 2 rows behind the pit at ROO, whereas at LOLLA, I was right behind and to the left of soundboard. Surely my location didn't have that much bearing on the sound. In addition- every band that played on the main stage sounded great. Anyone else notice better sound at ROO??

    I was only at lolla... so the sound at lolla was definitely better. :p

    Pearl Jam's set at Lolla had the worst sound of any concert I've ever been to. there was something wrong with Mike's amplifiers the entire night. It's cleaned up a little on the iTunes bootleg but it still sounds pretty bad. I'm sure that about 80% of the crowd didn't even notice though.

    Concur. Mike's guitar sounded like crap the whole night, but you can't really tell from the iTunes boot.
