Abandoned Dog...now it's safe!

Yesterday me and my girlfriend were driving in Milan(ITALY) highway when a dog came out from nowhere...and we were very close to run over him as some other cars...we finally catch him and now he is safe, police (that arrived 1 hour after our calls...we waited under the rain and in the middle of the highway) said that they will take the dog to some foundation to be "adopted"...

Very glad to have done something good for a poor animal...I can believe there are people so bad to leave an animal in the middle of the highway...

I really hope that someone will adopt him very soon :)

Ciao!

P.S: we have a pic but I don'n know how to post it :(

this is a nice story. it always bums me out when i see dogs roaming freely near busy streets. they have no idea what would happen if they took a few bad steps and ended up in the road. thanks for saving this one and hopefully it will find a good home.

to be fair the dog could have wandered there from further away. it's very possible he was just abandoned but he could also have run away and ended up there.

thanks for saving it, though, i'd urge people to try to find a no kill shelter to take the animal to

Congratulation to both of you! My dog was found by some hunters in Alabama in the middle of nowhere. She was thrown out on a dirt road (they think) and just a tiny puppy. As my friends said she was so ugly she was cute. Nine years later.... My friends and I say she is the smartest dog there ever was. She will wipe her feet on demand and I only showed her once how to do it...I can tell her to go get anyone by name and she will go get them..the crazy part is I never really trained her she just picks things up on her own, as if she understands English.....I could go on and on but I don’t want to brag ( ok, I really do like to brag about my Daisy).....turned out she is part Australian Shepard. Best of luck finding a home...can you tell what kind of dog she is?
