Haloha freaks.

Maybe some people from the cities of the summer 2010 EURO tour can post some links/advise where to stay, how to travel from country to country/city to city

For example:

Dublin - which hotel /hostel to stay? Connection to Arena

Belfast - how to go to Belfast from Dublin? Hotel/hostel??

Berlin - the same;))

Those are the the dates I am visiting...other countries welcome as well:))

Thanks in advance

    aloha/bonjour/what about ye

dublin - lots of pearljammers will stay in the jurys inn down by the quays, there's also a nice hotel across the river and down a bit (i think its called the cardiff lane?) - both are walking distance to the arena

belfast - for travelling to belfast from dublin the best bet is to get the blue aircoach.ie - cheap as chips - comfy as hell and pretty quick up the new motorway - or get the train to belfast central from connoly station

  • Yikes! Let's get the tickets first! There's six months to sort this stuff out!

    Nevertheless...
Can't tell you too much about Dublin hotels, cos I live there & have never needed to stay in one. There's a new tram line (or at least there will be when it opens in about four hours from now!) that goes straight from the city centre to the venue. Will probably take about 15 mins or less.

Belfast to Dublin - 2 1/2 hour bus for about €15, or 2 hour train for a lot more
    93: Slane
    96: Cork, Dublin
    00: Dublin
    06: London, Dublin
    07: London, Copenhagen, Nijmegen
    09: Manchester, London
10: Dublin, Belfast, London & Berlin
    11: San José
12: Isle of Wight, Copenhagen, Ed in Manchester & London x2

Avalon House hostel on Aungier St, Dublin, is one of the best around. It's a 10 minute walk from the tram to the O2, and has the advantage of having the best coffee house (the Bald Barista) in Dublin. Highly recommended.

When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
    Chasing something in the night.
  • The Luas (Dublin's light rail) extension to The O2 will be open very soon so it should be running by the PJ concert next year. This should be very handy for getting to the venue. I'm not sure what getting back will be like but I'm going to a gig there later this month and I'll see what it's like. I live on one of the stops on the same line so it'll be a straight shot to and from The O2 for me but getting onto the Luas after the gig could be chaotic unless they make sure to have plenty of trams lined up.

I'd also recommend the Globetrotters Tourist Hostel:

It's not too far from The O2 and it gets a good rating on Trip Advisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review ... ublin.html)
