Ten Club has done great things for us fans, but we, the People, want more time between announcements and pre-sale dates. We all LOVE hearing news about future SHOWS!!! But we need more time, as we're just little people, who have to work every day and save every last little penny for the big news to arrive, and then when it does!, it's not enough time to plan appropriately.

I think we're proof that we'd do just about anything for the band, so please show us some love and appreciation Ten Club, and please consider how important the essence of TIME is to us in order to plan our lives - and our love - around our favorite band.

Please. Less than one day is not enough. Two days is not enough. If we're your greatest customers, please hear us out!! :)

Now, who's with me??!!

  • I am all for more time between announcing a show and the on sale time. For a lot of fans, there isn't enough time to figure out money issues for tickets and all that before they start selling them, so it would be a courteous offer for the 10C to give us maybe a week to a week and a half of a jump start on it, so we can plan for buying tickets. It seems like that happens with a lot of bands and stuff though, a show gets announced on a Wednesday, and by Saturday morning, tickets are on sale. That's just not enough time for me to have placed $160+ aside for tickets. There's gotta be a way to correct this, and the only way seems to be to give the fans more notice before the madness begins. It'll make for a lot less complaining around here I'm sure (lol, that's not true, the complaining will never stop, but maybe just a little less).

  • I agree more notice would be awesome, but they probably have little control over it, eh?

  • Agreed.

I think 10 day - "space" between announcement and pre-sale would be a comfortable, humane zone.

10 day tweet to presale sounds like a reasonable time parameter

If Adam and Eve had Taco Bell they would have never eaten that filthy fruit...
  • It's the same with most bands though, shows announced on Monday tickets go on sale on Friday. Fair enough you only get a couple of days before 10C presale but that is because they are giving us a chance to get tickets first.

If the strategy is to help those who are the most obsessed (lurkers/posters alike here on the Porch) the best shot at tix, I'm fine with it ;)

I'll have to say I am quite surprised that the info came without a tweet in advance...that seemed very unlike the 10c.

I'm more bummed that more countries didn't get a show (of just Pearl Jam), but I'm certainly not going to complain about it because at least they are in the closest continent to me...making it reasonably cheap and easy to see a show or two.

I just have my fingers crossed there are enough tickets from the 10c for each show so they aren't gone in under 5 minutes. How did the last Euro shows go? I got 10c tix for London but I can't remember how fast they went. How fast did Berlin go? I remember getting my Seattle tickets just in time...they sold out in under 5 minutes.

  • i agree here.

even outside of $$$ issues, just planning logistics, especially if one is to travel, etc. it is not easy for my husband to plan his time off, etc....so it makes a big difference. this time around it has no effect on me, no plans to travel to europe this go-round, but it most definitely factors into why my husband can rarely travel with me for shows.

now just be sure to plan a really cool venue for 10.22.10.....let the 10c ticket gods smile on me that i score tix....and hubby and i WILL be there, b/c he already took off the 2 weeks surrounding that date, so please have that anniversary show! that's the only show we plan to travel for this year, otherwise, local NYC shows will do us fine. 8-)
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

  • Agreed. It's great they gave us a lot of time until the shows but more time between the announcement and on-sale date, 3 days really isn' enough, especially if your not online all the time.

I guess we have different outlooks on what a true fan is. I couldn't disagree more.
For me it's all about music. Not posting a lot and checking the forum everyday or having PJ socks and stuff like that (nothing wrong with PJ merch but it just isn't the measure). It certainly doesn't mean that you have to be even a 10C member to be a "true" fan.

The topic is not about that, though.
