Who was the female backup singer on Against the 70's? You know, the Mike Watt song that Eddie sang lead on. It kind of sounds like Corin Tucker but it was before she was making music, right?

I think it's Anna Waronker from "That Dog"

The voice isn't deep enough to be Carla Bozulich's I don't think.

Whoever she was she has a helluva voice. Dude, looking at the Wikipedia blurb about the album Ball-Hog or Tubboat? is like reading a who's who of alt rock gods of the early 90's. All he needed was like J Mascis and Billy Corgan. Maybe Chris Cornell.

Edit: Just realized J Mascis did play on this album. How did I ever not buy this back then? Amazing. We rock fans were so spoiled with great music back then it was too easy to overlook hidden gems like this. According to this link it was Carla Bozulich that sang the backup vocals on Against the 70's.

The album is worth buying for J Macias cover of Maggot Brain alone. Listening to that song is what got me into Dino Jr.

Chinese Firedrill is fucking brilliant too. So much talent on one album, and so many good songs. A rare thing.
