things that didnt happen in 2009

edited December 2009 in A Moving Train
well there is a month to go, so it could still happen, but lets see how some of our Moving Train prognosticators did:

1. we havent invaded Iran
2. we aren't pushing around wheelbarrows full of hundred dollar bills to buy bread.
3. a major city hasnt been exploded
4. FEMA hasn't swooped in to enslave us all.
5. still in Iraq
6. i still haven't slept with Alyssa Milano (i'm wrong 17 years in row now)

i'll have to dig around for more predictions.

What about all of the cool stuff science fiction writers told us would happen by 2009? E.g. Cities on the moon; Flying cars and, that classic mode of transport from Back to the Future, the Hoverboard :D

We still haven't caught that guy who is over six feet tall and on dialysis, with a high bounty on his head, and wanted worldwide.

YES, and it pisses me off! All the money we are spending in Iraq and Afghanistan could have been spent going after him! He should've been caught immediately.
Makes me wonder a whole lot of stuff about our government.
Geez, its not like a whole country attacked us. One man is all and we can't get him. I remember reading that our gov. knows he is in Pakistan, on the border of Iran, but because Pakistan is our ally, we need to use diplomacy. This was during the Bush admin. What!! To hell with diplomacy if they are harboring a fugitive. We went into Iraq like gangbusters over way less.
All we have to do is go after him. I am suprised that the locals don't turn him in for the reward. Again, makes me wonder what they are getting piad to keep their mouth shut.
    Save room for dessert!
