another wrestler on his death bed.....

Eddie "Umaga" Fatu (part of the famous Anoi'a family including The Rock) was found by his wife late last night/early this morning. He fell asleep watching TV last night, and she found him unconscious and not breathing with blood coming from his nose several hours later. He was rushed to the hospital and is fighting for his life. The latest is that he has been taken off life support, and his family has been told to get there as soon as humanly possible.

At first the rumour mill was that it was Rx pills, but now they are saying it was a heart attack (who knows, might still be Rx related). He actually had been released from WWE because of a Wellness Policy violation. It was only his second strike (WWE policy allows for 3 before mandatory dismissal), but he refused to go to rehab, so they released him. He just got back from a tour of Australia with Hulk Hogan's wrestling tour.

How long does this have to go on before some government entity steps in and FORCES the industry to change it's current model? How many wrestlers have to die at such a young age for this to change? You would have thought the whole Chris Benoit double murder-suicide thing would have turned some heads. It did for a bit, but it seems all but forgotten now.

Mr Perfect Curt Hennig
Eddie Guerrero
Chris Benoit
Road Warrior Hawk
Yokozuna (also in the Anoi'a family)
Big John Studd
Ravishing Rick Rude
Davey Boy Smith
Crash Holly
Miss Elizabeth
Big Boss Man
Hercules
Sensational Sherri
Crush

How many more???

I just meant legislation that would force some sort of regulation for entertainers of all forms, that was all.

wow i remember seeing this guy live a few times. definitely an entertainer; very heated character. so sad to see him go like this.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Who better than Kanyon? Didn't he come out a few years back? I hope that wouldn't have played a factor in this.

What kind of regulation would you suggest. I mean if drug abuse is a problem illegal drugs, or illegal use of prescription drugs are both already by definition illegal. And sure there seem to be lots of wrestlers who seem to die young, but I do wonder if they are dying at a higher rate then the general population, or if if just seems high because of media coverage.

Also, Andre the Giant was a freaking giant. You could put a hard boiled egg through ANY ring that he wore.

Didn't a couple of the Von Erichs commit suicide....and Bruiser Brody was murdered.
