ok ok, they don't suck, they just aren't playing very well.
win one, lose one. win two, lose two. the injuries have hurt, but they are not very consistent, refuse to stand in front of the net, lack true play makers and finishers. but hey, they go on a run mid season, get a middle of the pack play off seed and go out in the early rounds. that's pretty much been the mojo of this team for some time. every 5 years or so, they'll make a nice playoff run before running up agaist a better team.

I love Derek and Fred calling this thing too. Miss the old time hockey myself. No, don't want fighting all the time but certainly don't care for the lame penalties for "excessive leering" at another player.

I am only *slightly* biased but Fred called a great game. Sure he was a homer but....sad that he's gone and there are so few who actually call a game.
O'Reilly was bad ass. He'd drop gloves if someone raised an eyebrow at him.

That's a classic right there. I love the old days of going to the stinky old Boston Garden seeing Orr/Espo and my favs Cashman and Cheevers.
I miss the old days but it's now a new day today, it's time to raise the Cup. it's been faaar too long.
