Best Performance on IIC not PJ?

I must say, I think my favorite performance on IIC is not done by the band, ironically. Dont get me wrong, there is some great footage of some great songs, BUT, I find myself watching My Morning jacket with Ed doing A quick one while he's away more than anything else. They absolutely NAIL it and the three part vocal is awesome. Plus the dumbfounded looks on the fans faces in italy (likely because they have never heard this song) are priceless. Discuss....
I hold the pain, release me!

  • I have watched that the most only because it's one of my favourite Who songs. And they fuckin' nailed it. Kick ass.

You think the Slayer tour is out, or what?

they did get it fairly right. VERY long song, lots of changes (7 or 8 separate "songs" within it i think?), and the vocals are class for people who dont perform regularly together

particularly eds voice on the "here comes Ivor the dirty....make you feel ALLLRIIIGGGHT" suits the song much better than The Who one imo...
  • It's definitely my favourite peformance on the dvd.

I still can't believe how brilliant that joint performance is...The drums, the guitars, the vocals, and...that PJ singer:)...to pick an appropriate phrase "everything (is) in its right place";)

    standout track/performance without doubts!

  • Couldn't agree more. A Quick One is definitely a bright spot.
  • I don't like like the new DVD. it's too choppy. great picture and sound quality but the camera never stays on a band member for more than a second or two. I can't watch it.

as musicians they nailed it. adn ed doing backing vocals was amazing.

but i wasnt a fan of Jim James' voice during the performance. he has sounded much better every other time i've heard him
