So, last night, they interviewed the woman responsible for booking all acts at the Adams Center on the University of Montana campus (where PJ plays gigs). The Blue man group performed last night (awesome by the way) and she indicated that she is working on securing two "very big acts" for the Spring that she described as "ones Missoulians love". Maybe Im dreaming, but one of them could be the band...Ill keep everyone posted with any more info.

If I lived anywhere near Montana...I'd be stoked. Either way, hopefully this means they'll play a decent amount of US shows.

Sorry, but it's actually the death metal group DIE HARD.
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.
  • its not elton right? he already announced a return right?

No, its not Elton John. That has already been confirmed and sold out. Im not a fan of him, but I must admit, I am always psyched to see big acts coming to our little corner of the world. I know it may sound dumb, but "I've Got a Feeling" that something is gonna be announced soon.....

  • Doesn't TOOL owe you guys a make up date in Missoula?

    2007 - 6/27, 8/3

  • Better book your trips guys. Everytime a "big act" is being mentioned as being booked, it's gotta be Pearl Jam. They are the only big act left out there and the only band the state of Montana likes.

Im not sure if Tool is going to do a make up date or not, but nonetheless, I dont think this is what was being referred to as the "two other acts" as I would think that a make up date would not be kept under tight wraps as these shows are...does Tool even do things like "make up shows", some bands just dont give a shit.

Actually, I wouldnt post a rumor unless I thought it had some legitimacy. Jeff told me personally last August that Missoula would be getting a PJ show in 08, and we really don't get that many big name acts as we are only a town of 75,000 8 hours from the nearest city. We have been lucky in the last few years, with the Rolling Stones and Elton John, but prior to that, we rarely got any bigger names than PJ, mostly mid-range bands like Modest Mouse, Primus, Rev. Horton Heat, etc.

Looking at Tool's website and how they've reference doing a show in "aluossim" a few times, I'd assume they are going to be going back out and probably will hit Missoula. There's one of the references in the January 17th bulletin.

Hopefully you're right, although I'd prefer if PJ played in Bozeman. ;)
