Irish Pearl Jam tribute, Pearl Jem 2010 micro mini tour!!
It's almost been a long year since our last shows, who woulda thought it'd be so hard to get 6 guys together at the same time for such a good cause?! Anyway, the dates are as follows:
Jan 23rd: Spirit Store, Dundalk, Co. Louth
Jan 29th: The Backroom, Navan, Co. Meath
Feb 5th: The Spring and Airbrake, Belfast, Co. Antrim http://www.ticketmaster.ie/search?tm_li ... search.y=0
I think doors are 8 for an 8.30 kickoff, but i'll confirm that closer to the dates, just as with admission prices.
If and when PJ announce their Euro tour and a Dublin date, we'll look into booking a Dublin gig ourselves. The thing about Dublin is the venues charge a fortune to hire. Even though there was 200 at our last gig there in the Academy in May 2008 and it was severe fun, we were still paying for it 6 months later! So a decent Dublin gig requires overseas fans too, which would be awesome!
Anyone unfamiliar with the band, which is everyone apart from a few hundred, here are some videos from past gigs:

Something in Dublin most definitely will have to arranged for July 21st Dimitri, there are gonna be PJ mentalists everywhere, including myself

No 71step, did you not hear about the craic that's going down on July 21st?! Ok, there's no covering up my error  But Jen (or anyone) do you think it'd be worth organising something along the lines of a Pearl Jem gig in Dublin for June 21st?
You should come, it's the Spring and Airbrake! I don't even wanna play, I' just wanna be down on the floor throwing shapes for that gig! Though I totally understand the bane that is 'lack of funds'.
Cheers satansbed, maybe a Joy Division tribute isn't beyond our capabilities, I'm just happy you didn't say it's like Right Said Fred doing LBC
Incidentally, we'll be playing at least 5 from BS, can't wait, and anyone who's been to a show before knows that at least 2.5 hours, it is more than your average tribute!

Anyone with the intention or ability to travel to Navan for this Friday's gig, doors are open at 8.30, we're on from about 10-12.45, admission is 15 euro.
As always, apologies to all non-Irish Pearl Jam based fans who unfortunately these posts are totally irrelevant to!
Roll on June 22nd
Gonna try to get to the Navan show - but logistically it'll be a pain without a car and no ability to steal one this time
And I've set up a bit of an aul facebewk group to gauge interest on the 21st June - it'd be great if we could get a Manchester-esque thing goin' on!

Cheers again for braving the cold and lack of in-car heat to make the trip to Dundalk, sure if you can't make Navan there's always Belfast the following week . 2 evenings it took to rehearse the BS songs and go back over the rest of the set. Fair play to Andy Quinn driving the band on the drums there, cause he doesn't really listen to PJ outside of whatever he learns for the gig, but BS has him listening more and he's looking forward to having his PJ virginity obliterated in June.
Not a hope of the Meath crowd being as good as last week but no doubt they'll give it a good lash anyway!
