2 questions.

1. How does a Podcast work. I downloaded one into my library, but when I click on it nothing happens.
2. How do you start a slideshow with photos. I've set up all of the variables, time between each slide, how to transition, etc., but I can't get it to actually run.

Thanks :?:
You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense

  • 1) It sounds as if you are doing everything right. There are typically two ways to start podcast. One, find the podcast in your library under "Podcasts", and simply double-click on it....OR... two..find the same podcast, click it once, and then click the play button up top. If it still doesn't play, I would verify that the the particular podcast you downloaded was recorded properly by the person publishing it. I've run across a few in which it looked ok, but was actually blank. Can you download another random podcast, and see if you get the same results?

    2) Are you using Mac or PC? Which software?

I have a PC. Can you explain what exactly a Podcast is? Does it only play on the computer or is something supposed to load to my device when I re synch it? If my internet connection is sketchy, would that cause it not to work?

  • Well a podcast is nothing more than a media file. It can be audio as well as video in nature. I've honestly only used to Itunes to download, manage, and play them, but I know that essentially all you need is an mp3 player to listen to them. This isn't an endorsement for Itunes, but the software makes it really easy. The cool thing about podcasts is if you subscribe to them, your computer will automatically download them (according to your settings)....

An internet connection that goes in and out could be a factor, but usually the thing will simply pause and continue to download when the connection comes back up....

  • Ok, I'll check it out when I go home, I'm using ITunes and and IPod, so I'm not sure.

Do you know anything about my other question regarding the photo slideshow?
