I have Rock Band 2 for PS3 so anything you want to say about it...please do...help is appreciated. :)

I can't sing and I can't play guitar...but maybe I can try RB2 if BS is on it. Thanks! x

I bought the whole album for Rock Band II. I'm not sure what my scores are. I've only played them on the guitar.

Some favourites of mine to play on RB2 are Just Breathe, (It's actually rather tough on guitar) Johnny Guitar, Unthought Known, and Gonna See My Friend.

Most of the songs are relatively easy... but also fun. :)

  • Rockband is awesome. It is better than guitar hero. It is a lot weasier to play. And you dont have to be able to sing.,....just get the pitch right. and i play guitar and my sistyer doesn't.....she is much better than me at it. So you dont have toi play guitar to be good at it

  • Yeah, it's lots of fun. I agree Just Breathe is hard on guitar. All of their songs are fun to play though, especially Johnny Guitar and Supersonic. I'm not sure about my score though. Any of you PS3 owners can add me if you like.

  • Just got it on Wii this weekend, well Beatles Rock Band but bought RBII so I could download backspacer...

    Awesome!!

Singing Johnny Guitar is hard! Others are easier...

  • I have RB1 & 2 and the RB Beatles game....they are all awesome!!...but there is nothing like tearing into a Pearl Jam tune!!

I downloaded Ten and Backspacer both on the day they were released and both albums are awesome to play! The good thing about RB is it's more forgiving than Guitar Hero when it comes to difficulty....first timers should be able to pick up a guitar or mic and be pretty successful on easy...plus there is a tutorial in RB that gets you up and going if you never played it before.

i have a low voice so singing some of the higher songs can be hard (1st half of Backspacer) but i kick ass on the lower songs (most of the 2nd half of Backspacer) you just have to get it and screw around with it to find the songs that you can play good...but it's fun no matter what! :D ....i just wish PJ had more songs on RB.

By the way what's your user name playing rock band online? I'm thinking in
buying the whole thing ps3+rock band+ PJ content!

I played a little bit of the beatles' rock band (drums) and I couldn't contain my smile, I tried to act all mature but 5 minutes later I was fighting with the little kids because didn't let them play, and the end I told them, "I can buy this now and take it home, if you're lucky you MAY get one for Xmas just MAYBE!"

That's funny, kat! :) I must be older than you cuz I don't enjoy playing games as i used to.

The kids got GH 2 years ago, I think, and they told me RB is a lot better from playing at friends' house...youngest son said he'd rather do the drums.

But here at home... they make it look really easy playing on the guitars and i can't do it!

Bobby plays guitar all the time but he can't do the game version. :P

I think the drumming part would be fun if we had RB and that's something I'd go for. :P

i'd be better at hitting than plunking....

    Good luck.

  • I haven't tried to play it competitively cause thats not how I roll.

But I would assume that Kat's post is also to try and gauge response for the Pearl Jam Rock Band game that will be coming out sometime. If I am assuming wrong, oh well. If I assumed correctly, I would like to make a suggestion:

Rock Band has the ability to play as guitar, drums, bass or vocals. Please include an option to play as Stone or Mike! It would enhance the game for the fans. Rolling Stone put them on their 100 best guitarists of all time as "a four-armed riff monster" or something along those lines. They often play different things that complement each other's parts.

Kat, if you could pass this along to the appropriate channels, please.

HA!! I played this for the first time over the weekend...it was a blast (perhaps partially due to the lovely red wine were drinking). I can't sing or play the guitar either...but the guitar isn't really like playing one, you just have to get the hang of it :-) We only tried the Easy level...

There were 3 of us PJ Girls playing, and we did pretty well...best on Supersonic :-)

get it kat!! it's fun, its worth it just to rock out on Johnny Guitar!! I went to a holiday party this weekend that had it- it was my first time playing... and I stole the show with my version of Johnny!!! I dont think my score was very good, but knowing the song so well i sure put on a good stage show ;) stone would have been impressed!
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

Get it! :) I got it for the Xbox 360. Haven't played it in a while, but it was pretty good. It would be sweet if there was a PJ patch for RockBand where you can play as any member of Pearl Jam.

    Here's the BIG question.

For someone with no game system, which game system should someone choose to get for RockBand, and why? Are the different systems compatible when playing the same game online?

I find the complete Backspacer album to be pretty hard actually. I play Rockband guitar at the hard level and all of the arrangements are pretty difficult. Even on medium, I think they are complicated. As i play it more, I get better, but it takes time.

Ok, at the risk of.... absolute ridicule...ha.

Unthought Known, vocals 36,400 on Easy, 100%, 43 phrase streak.

That was the first song from Backspacer, first try and it was a whole lot of fun even though I sounded bad to myself and would be mortified if you all heard me.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Please post your scores...would love to share.

The other song I tried was Man In The Box on Easy on guitar and got better on the second try but I missed a lot of notes. I think the score was in the 7,000s  .

Surprisingly, the songs I have the most problems with are the acoustic songs - "Just Breathe" and "The End.
