Question about song played before Vedder's solo shows

On Vedder's solo tour in CA and Chicago, before he came out there was a song which was playing on the speakers that I'm trying to remember. It had the lyric "got me a girl in north dakota.. got me a girl in sand diego, etc" I've been trying remember who sang it for the better portion of the last year, can anyone help? I thought it may have been slim dunlap or alex chilton, but could be way off.
