In 1995 the band played two concerts in Melbourne. On the second night (radio broadcast included), Vedder asked the crowd if they knew where NW stands for and he came up with a few dozen suggestions... in the middle of it, he turns against the security crew of the night before, the '' non-school meat-head security personnel roughing up kids with no reason....(something like that)". I still don't know that the NW had to do with it tough (and Vedder admits), but he came up with quite some ideas.... ;-)
