I picked this amp up two days ago and let me just say its a great little amp for the money. I spent about 200.00 for it new at a local shop and fell in love with it. It has 22 setting for various amp styles and the 11 effects. Well worth the money. I don't see myself ever letting this bad boy go.

I also have the Vox Valvetronix VT30. Indeed a great amp fot the money!
But, as an absolute beginner, I'm still looking for the real PJ-sound! :?
Can someone help me with the set up (not only to select the right Amp Model, but also to find the right settings)?
    Thx

I've been playing for over three years now and I still think of myself as a beginner, and I've tried to find that same sound you're talking about. One thing I can say now is that its 90% the guitarist, and 10% equipment. Even if I were to steal Mike's or Stone's set up right from a show, and bring it home, I wouldn't come close to that "sound".

I agree. But wich settings comes as close as possible? The Vox VT30 has so many possibilities (maybe to many :) ).
For example wich settings for: Rockin' in the free world - Not for you - Corduroy - ...

I don't know of anything specific on the amp just yet, but in the short amount of time I got some good tones playing I got Id, immortality, Present tense, and some Mad Season stuff. Just got to play around with it.
