    Has anybody tried contacting Chugg Entertainment?
    Pretty sure they'd be the owners of the concert footage, and it would be up to them to strike up a deal with Pearl Jam to commercially release the footage.
    Just have to make a point of trying to make them see that it would be financially profitable if this was released to the masses.

    Well I haven't thought of Chugg.

    But the idea of a petition opened to the masses would show how popular it would be.

    There are heaps of people in this thread that have said that they know people who aren't members who would want a copy.

    But then you face the unfair prospect of people posting multiple times. John Smith, James Jones, Mike Hunt. Not a true reflection, but hey, might get what we want.

    I would be happy to organise a petition, though I don't really know what to say/ how to do it.

    I could post the link in this thread, make another thread. Encourage people to share the link, post on myface and spacebook, all that shit.

    Any people who have done this sort of stuff before speak up. Brain storming would be good.

    In Adelaide, when Eddie called that guy an asshole and said he's keeping an eye on him was classic...
    I need to relive that via quality visual medium, not a scrappy video on youtube or audio bootleg!

    C'mon Australia has always supported Pearl Jam and you know we'd snap it up the day it hit the shelves
    We defs deserve a DVD of our own!

    Ok I have found a site do do an online petition, just got get the wording right, so here is what I have come up with for the intro blurb for starters. Any feedback on the wording would be greatly appreciated, then we can get this thing happening...and hopefully get a good result!!!

    We, the undersigned, petetion Chugg Entertainment and Pearl Jam, to produce and release A DVD from the 2009 Australia and New Zealand Backspacer Tour. For too long now, dedicated Jam fans in Australia and New Zealand, have been neglected and beleive that they too are deserving of footage of thier favourite band performing in thier home cities. Performances have been released previously of American and European performances, this proves therefore that there is a market for live DVD production in the global market, and Australia and New Zealand are part of that global market.

    Please do not allow this neglect of fans in the southern hemisphere continue, and allow us to relive those magic nights we got to share with our favourite band Pearl Jam until the next time they grace our beautiful shores.
