Not long to go now until their first ever Christchurch concert. We have been waiting for this for a long time.

    What kind of stadium/arena is there in Christchurch?
    Is it also a big stadium, are smaller venue?

    AMI is quite a large stadium. It has a seating capacity of 36,000 for sporting events (rugby, cricket) that can be extended to 50,000 for concerts.

    How many people are expected to this show?

    Probably around the 30,000 mark as the stadium isn't at full capacity yet. They are still finishing the new eastern stand.

    Yes I have lived in various places in Australia. I have to say Adelaide was the smallest of them and I liked it the best.

    Piss off with your Chch bashing. The only bad thing about this place is that we don't get enough good bands down here. I still can't believe that PJ are playing in TWO DAYS!! They're gonna rock no matter what city they play in. I'm so excited!!!!!

    the first time playing my hometown and its also the last on the tour, gonna be special.....
    saw them in melb last fri, they are pretty amped...

    I think 4-4:30pm.

    Even if we get in 15 mins early I assume it could take 15 mins to get in if the 10C line is long and you'd be pissed if you end up getting inside the same time as GA.

    I dunno though, it's only a theory at the moment.

    Dear Pearl Jam! Dear Eddie, Mike, Jeff, Stone, and Matt!
    Just a few hours left to that moment you'll meet my friend in Christchurch and make him very, very happy to see you! He's german (so am I) but he lives in New Zealand since a few month now, before he lived in Australia for about a year. We haven't seen each other since May last year and I miss him very badly! I just want you to know, that he is ABSOLUTELY freaked out to see you there at the other end of the world, far away from his place of birth, though OZ/NZ is his home now. I am damn sure you will make it a fantastic, memorable and unforgetable night for him (and all the others of course)!! And that’s what I want for him – cause he's the one who planted your words and music into my heart and soul many years ago and I am so thankful for that!!!!
    I wish we could share this moments in Christchurch… So, when you play BLACK (please!!!!) keep André in mind (he once sung it to me via cellphone from australia ;) ) – and ALL the people you have ever touched with your LOVE and GREATNESS!

    To all in Christchurch: have fun and enjoy your night!!!!!

    Why would New Zealanders not want to see Liam? I saw him for the first time in Brisbane and loved it.
