Not sure but from the picture it looks like this could be the same thing on amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Later-Jools-Hol ... 932&sr=1-4

... and even cheaper from hmv (this has the running order and lists Pearl Jam)

    http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDet ... sku=571439

don't know if you can order from either of these
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
  • That would be great to have. I don't catch Jools Holland very often but really enjoy his show when I do.

There's a great version of Alive on here. During the outro solo Ed goes over to Corinne Bailey Rae and they dance together, it's a cool moment. She used to be in a rock band and was clearly digging being on a show with PJ.

Unfortunately, Jools can't interview for shit (I love the range of music he shows but he shouldn't be allowed to speak!) As far as I can remember the interview centred on why PJ had a 'pear' on the cover of the album? :?

Just got this DVD today! A weekend watch, it will! :)

There's a tiny photo of Ed on the back. Inside a little write up of the show.

    Pearl Jam - Alive
    05/05/06 Series 27, Programme 1
with Corinne Bailey Rae, The Spinto Band, The Zutons, Jenny Lewis, Jamie Foxx

Have I told you that I Produced The Late Show session on the day in 1992 when Pearl Jam played their debut British show? I've realised that I have been mentioning this rather too often since Pearl Jam finally returned to play this show and reclaimed their crown at Reading/Leeds. Back in '92, they were already reluctant self-promoters. Eddie and co. came into the Late Show studio dressed like hippie vagabons with knapsacks and proceeded to give one of the greatest one take performances I've ever seen. By the end, Eddie was up on the drum kit, bandana off, hair flowing in the breeze, reclaiming rock and roll for the people. This clip became the opening salvo of a 1993 compilation programme called 'No Nirvana' (you guessed it, they weren't on it!) that celebrated the alt. American rock du jour. Pearl Jam never played on the BBC again (or any other British TV shows as far as I can work out) untill they returned to play Later. I reminded Eddie of the first we'd met and he looked at me rather blankly but very kindly and gave me a hug. Their performance had all the old intensity but Eddie seems to be able to enjoy himself a little more these days and took advantage of Mike McCready's long guitar break at the end to steal a dance with the other show stealer, Corinne Bailey Rae.

She sure is! Though my eye's were twitching as her left bare foot was going wild.
An act on the DVD that is worth a treat is Camille. Never seen anything like it. I think now.
