Kyuss reissues

I'm just wondering if anyone has any information on this:

Apparently these are 180G versions of Kyuss records on vinyl. Were these reissued at some point? I was under the impression that 180G vinly is sort of a new thing and wasn't really done back when Kyuss was a band releasing their material. If so, does anyone have any idea of whether or not these were taken from the original master tapes?

Yes they are re-issues and to the best of my knowledge have been subject to a little re-mastering.

my buddy knows a lot on kyuss..i'll check this out and see what kind of tinkering was done cause this interests me greatly.

Yeah, I'd appreciate it. If it was tinkering like they did on NIN's Downward Spiral Deluxe reissue I'd be okay with it. If it was tinkering like on Megadeth's re releases I would be not so okay with it.
