Binaural and Backspacer
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
I chose Amongst the Waves.. I just can't get that song out of my head. It's cheesy by Pearl Jam standards and not very groundbreaking, but there's something about it that makes me blast it and sing along in the car. It's a "classic" song. I'd put it up there with anything from Ten.
Honestly, Backspacer might be my favorite album. Sure it will never hit me as emotionally as Ten, or artistically as No Code, but I'm older now and music doesn't have the same impact it had on me as when I was an angsty, hormone driven teenager.
Backspacer just really hits the spot. There isn't one song I skip. I don't think it will wear off. I think 10 years from now this will be a favorite still or even more so.
With every other Pearl Jam album I have to be in a specific mood for, which is good because they provide variety, but Backspacer hits the spot for just about any mood I'm in.
Pearl Jam:
Key Arena - Seattle, WA - Sep 21, 2009
Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver, BC - Sep 25, 2011
Key Arena - Seattle, WA - Dec 6, 2013
Eddie Vedder Solo:
Benaroya Hall - Seattle, WA - Jul 15, 2011
five, five, against one
It isn't but at the top there is a bit where you can vote for album of the decade and type it in.
Binaural and Backspacer.
