Can't stand Sarkozy and I'm a socialist at heart Dimi! Though not too enamoured by Hollande but anything is better than a conservative government for another five years! Though it could go anyway really... we'll see what happens to France in a couple of days!
Are you putting a PJ sticker on your ballot paper tomorrow?0 -

*climbs onto soapbox*
I'm politics person, have a degree in it, work in it, so find it hard to say 'f*ck politics' - your vote is one of the most important things you have in life, you can't complain about how pants it is if you didn't use your vote. A disengaged electorate is the way in which politicians can get away with stuff, if the electorate was engaged and involved in scrutinising policy and decision making maybe politics per se would be better.

I'm feeling ever so forlorn today, strange isn't it, how emotions sweep over you at times for no reason!2009 - Manchester. 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter. 2011 - PJ20 i & ii, Montreal, Toronto i & ii, Ottawa, Hamilton.

Leanne - I always feel that women fought for my right to vote so I should use it.
Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday. It's a bit nippy up here.<a href="http://s952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/?action=view¤t=domo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/domo.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>0 -
No point voting if there is no one you believe in.
If the choice is a knife in your back or a knife in your belly why bother?
You're right though people need to be more engaged in the running of their own country but all this 'if you don't vote you can't have a say' is all bollocks.

I agree,I used to always vote and be of the opinion that if you don't you don't have a say.
I haven't voted for the past four years simply because there is no one in power I believe in,I need to believe in someone/something to advocate for them.
We had local elections here on Thursday,I know some of the candidates,I wouldn't trust them with my shed keys let alone the country.
When I see someone I believe in then I will start voting again until then I won't be doing it and I'm not that politically motivated to go out there and do it myself,my policies would have entertainment mayhem reign“There should be a place where only the things you want to happen, happen”0 -

Voting doesn't injure you, the comparison doesn't work
If there is no one you believe in then spoil your ballot, but use the right to vote... and surely with the numbers of people standing there is someone you would vote for, it doesn't have to be a leading party...alternatively use tactical paired voting!

Explored plenty. Feet need a little rest tonight.
(I have 2 massivo blisters to contend with)
Went on a day trip to a place called Tivoli, about an hour outside rome. Pretty nice. Tomorrow I need to do laundry, apply for placements and buy new memory card(s) for my camera as i'm over half way through my 8gb one already.0 -

Some in project management, there is one for Disney in their video game department. Another for Tesco's (shudder) and one or two others. I can't quite remember at this time.
Cinque Terre is 13th and 14th May.
I tried to upload some photos onto Facebook but its having none of it.0 -

Cool that the placements are still popping up though.
I was going to do some more tidying today, but it's sunny and tomorrow is meant to be a wash out so think I am going to walk to the beach instead...though I should've thought of this before letting my hair dry naturally.
