Asked in the Dublin thread but thought I would ask here too!

So.... in preparation of 4 nights in hospital, what latest films that have been released on DVD shall I take with me? Got two on my tablet, got space for 2/3 more (depending on size). Input welcome. May also put this on facebook to see what people have to suggest!

I'm horribly out of touch with films, but I'd suggest a couple that you know really well and love. Would suck if you were stuck there with films you didn't particularly enjoy!

Someone did tell me The Human Centipede 2 was quite funny though. Probably not hospital viewing though!

Yeah.... that and other nodules scattered about in that area....

Ian - the human centipede 2 (or the first one for that matter) Didn't see the second one but did the first - quite crap, really... I know sometimes films are so bad that they are funny but I don't think I could say that about this one - plain rubbish.

I did download Game of Thrones - never saw that series. Also have Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Conan (just for bit of eye candy when I'm feeling poorly!).

DT - have TTSS on DVD but hear good things about the 'Kevin' film....

On the ferry in the port. Mikes nodded off so thought I'd come on here. We're only going to have 6 hours in Amsterdam, but I think we've decided on the Van Gogh museum and Ann Franks house for places to visit. We'll also prob drink coffe and people watch.

We need to talk about Kevin is a good film.

I'm getting a bit chilly, it's freezing on the deck. I also seem to be surrounded by teenagers and dance music, not ideal!

Centipede 2 was better, they're apparently making a third. Not quite sure that's necessary.

There was some film called Pearl Jam Twenty came out last year, maybe that'd be worth a shot?

    Everyone ok?

Leanne, thanks for the link about the Cornell tickets, think they will have gone by now. I will check closer to the time I reckon. I was thinking about the Radiohead shows in October but they are charging about 65 quid per ticket. :o
    Reading 2006, Paris 2006, Wembley 2007, Manchester 2009, London 2009, Dublin, Belfast, London 2010, Manchester x 2 2012, London x 2 2018.

Yeah, it's a bit steep. They haven't played the UK in years, and these will still fly out tomorrow morning. Ticket site meltdown for sure. Just wish I'd seen them perform Kid A...

    Hello peeps,
How are we all, what do we think of all the rumours and annoyed people etc?

    Rumours no more!

I think those in the states have more than enough reason to be a bit disappointed/annoyed, call it what you will. Since 2009, and up to the end of the EU tour, PJ will have played 2 less shows in Europe than they have in the US, and including Canada, South America and Aus/NZ it would make for more than 60% of shows being outside their native land. Shows good dedication to the overseas fans, but isn't particularly good for those in their home country. The PJ20 event was a good thing for those that went, but that's all the US has had so far in what was, going on the merch etc, a very big year for the band. Ignore the hand that feeds and when you come back it might not give as much any more.

Yes, Ed's done a bunch of solo dates over there but that isn't the band, and can't be considered in any way a make up for it. Reality is it's unlikely to change, they can't sell out arenas outside of CA/WA, Chicago and the East Coast. Can't see them dropping their demands to go elsewhere at this stage in their career.

Europe makes financial sense for American acts this year, the exchange rate is better than it's been for a while and many have brought forward tours to harvest the money while the going's good! At this level they're businessmen before artists, so they'd be foolish not to.

    How's it going people?

Thought I would enter myself into the ballot for the Eddie shows, hopefully a very Seattle themed summer

I entered the ballot for Manchester, against my better judgement if truth be told. If I don't get tickets then I'll not be upset. I have a very epic summer ahead anyway!

    Nothing.

There's better things to focus on.
