Ouch! Makes me all the more glad the family aren't bothering with it this year. :D

Also glad the first day of the week is over, 4.5 to go, and I'm out of energy already.

Know what you mean, I'm working Saturday this week so 4.5 days to go (1/2 day Fri). I have absolutely no energy at all at the moment, and I'm grumpy as hell. Must be this cold weather :(

I can't wait to get this week out of the way. Sunday am off to the midlands to see Sian and Dave, a 2 day week next week, and then a trip taking in Dublin, Reading and London for some gigs.

I had heard it was a good venue... am really looking forward to it (assuming I can walk to the venue by the time I've finished stuffing myself stupid at Eddie Rockets)!

    Ça va très bien. ;)

Winter's coming, so, that's a little bit demoralizing, but Christmas isn't far. 8-)

Got to make the most of it! :D I have The Stone Roses, Frank Turner and a festival next year. If PJ don't tour, the only other thing I'm considering travelling for is Mark Lanegan, but none of his dates really work without taking leave (and I have very little of that left to take).

I think Ireland is the most commercial when it comes to xmas - everywhere is lit up, shops have the music, decorations are selling out... it's gone pretty shitty actually. Even though we have less money, there's still so much pressure to spend thousands on presents. My family imposed a lower limit on our Kris Kindle gifts, however I know my sisters requests to Santa are more expensive than ever, so that their kids don't get the piss taken out of them in school.

My niece cried for ages last year cos she only got one present from Kris Kindle - a Wii game. Her cousins got lots of little things that cost less - some crappy plastic from the poundshop but lots of it. I think it's sad that she's been raised to be so... well... selfish I guess. I don't blame her parents, they're only trying to make sure she has the best of everything cos we had fuck all, but I'd like to think my kids would prefer a bit of value and integrity instead of wii games.

I probably should've started a Moving Train thread outta that
