40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN? HELP!!

In a nutshell: I'm actually still 38 and have been a massive PJ fan since the start but despite this in all my years of going to gigs (Tom Waits, Nick Cave, REM etc.) and if I'm going to be honest (AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Ozzy and EXTREME!! there I've got it off my chest at last  I've never seen PJ live and I'm worried about being the 40 year old virgin which is why today I registered because I'm sick of missing out on all the excitement you people have been so richly enjoying. I have 200+ boots and in my head I've been at them all but I know I'm missing out the kind of band you only get once in a blue moon (Led Zep and eh...) Work and family has been the main reason and yes, signing up to 10c would have helped but the guys are hardly visitors to my backyard either, two visits to Glasgow meaning another must be due (via Edinburgh, Aberdeen....) 2010!! Please don't let it happen, please tell me I'm not the only one, someone show me the way to the light and encourage me to undo my errors and I'll give you a wave in MSG on all 4 nights in May. After Scotland of course!! Peace out :)

You'd be making a good decision, we're ever so friendly and we don't actually wear kilts. You guys are lucky, P J rarely drive past Chicago without giving you 2 nights and I'm left to watch the relays like a peeping tom! Alternatively I immerse myself in the Soldier Field 95 boot. Loch Lomond next summer and I'll make the breakfast!

Extreme? There may be no excuse for going to see them unless a hot babe made you go.
  • I finally went to my first Pearl Jam show a couple of months ago. I had been missing out all those years for one reason or another, hope to see them again soon. Hopefully you Veddertown will get to see them soon too. You will have a lot of fun!

I thought this would be a thread started by a 40-year old virgin asking for advice on how to pick up chicks at a Pearl Jam show.

Yeah, I'd figured after all these years reading the forums I knew well enough to know the secret to having a post read is a good keyword. Luck would have it you're all as predictable as I'd imagined and I don't know if that's a good thing! Sorry to mislead but I got your attention and now you know who I am. I'm the guy who saw Extreme and it was with a guy who had a spare ticket not a hot babe! I must be making a great impression :D Hope you lucky bunch in Aus and NZ have a good week and continue making me jealous with some good setlists cos that means more good boots! I'll be watching closely as usual dreaming about the ultimate setlist, More than words, Get the funk out etc.... Enjoy dammit!

I'm part of a happy couple thanks and busy repopulating the planet with another generation of fans (slowly working with 3 converts and 3 undecided) I remember oh so vaguely the excitement of my first Maiden gig in 86 but PJ will eclipse that easy. Hoping for MSG next year!! :)
