Eliza Jane and Liam Finn

For some reason I was thinking about them this morning.

I never mentioned it at the time but I think one of the best things about seeing them was not only how they sounded, it was also seeing the sweet unit they make. I thought it was kind of beautiful that just the two of them could play those songs and travel around together with their looping equipment.

There's so much to playing with another person over a period of time. There's the trust required to play consistently and there's also the joy you can bring to the other person by shaping things in a surprisingly charming or different way each night. (*sigh*) Subtle stuff that the audience might not notice but that your partner would notice and smile at...

Anyway. I thought I'd say it now.

I thought they made a beautiful team!! :)

I agree - they are impressive. Saw Liam twice during Eddie's solo tours in 2008 and 2009 and I would love to see him again...so much energy and great music. Eliza's voice is a perfect compliment.

They do make a great team- they seem to blend so well together- just hope they remain together.
it was a real shame when Lisa Hannigan left Damian Rice- I can't imagine seeing him live without her- she was integral to his sound

Check out Eliza Jane's father Jimmy Barnes. He's a rock'n'roll icon here in Australia. He was in the band Cold Chisel.

    And yeah, they are awesome.
