Would TM give you "limited viewing" seats w/o telling you?

No, they almost always have a limited view warning if you pull up tickets with a bad view. And, actually, I've heard a lot of the limited view tagged tickets turn out to be fine.

Well then I guess sometimes they don't tell you. I remember when I saw Kings Of Leon, though, I pulled up some that were right near the soundboard which said "**LIMITED VIEW**: View may be obstructed by soundboard."

I don't think so. For the Chicago shows, there was a separate section for the limited view seats...
    6-29-98 Chicago---10-9-00 Chicago---4-23-03 Champaign---6-18-03 Chicago---5-16-06 Chicago---8-5-07 Chicago---8-22-08 Chicago (EV)---
    8-23-09 Chicago---8-24-09 Chicago---6-28-11 Chicago (EV)---9-3-11 Alpine---9-4-11 Alpine

Well for the EV Santa Cruz gig back in April, I had this very same issue happen to me. Was happy with my selection when it pulled up on ticketmaster so I purchased it. Once I got my tickets it said "obstructed" view and I felt taken.

So I called the venue and they assured me that I wouldn't have any obstructions but i was still a little bit skeptical. Once I got to the show though I was a happy camper as there were no obstructions and i was about 30 feet from the stage.

Can't guarantee it'll be the same for you, but if you're worried I would recommend contacting the actual venue box office to see what they say. I bet you'll be fine.

    Enjoy the show!

got obstructed view from TM once. Didn't find out until I got there. Was at the Comcast Whatever it's called in Philly. I was supposed to be in the very top row. Usher told us we had obstructed view & had to be moved... Needless to say the 3rd row tickets they replaced them with were a nice surprise!

Today for the Chicago tickets, you could select limited viewing tickets.

I landed a pair over two ours after the sale. They are in a decent section. I hope they are okay, I'm just glad to be going.
