I'm not ashamed to say it at all, I recently got tickets to go see Pink next June and I can't wait.

She always sings live, sounds great, has catchy fun rock/pop songs and some lovely ballads and everyone I've spoken to says she puts on a great show. So, I'm super excited!

Anyone else seen her?

nope, but that one album of hers had some stellar singles.
  • Where are you seeing her Ross?

She's playing at the Ricoh in Coventry and I wouldn't mind going...
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    yeah I've heard she's awesome live. :)

some songs of hers piss me off greatly. but that's mostly cause they've been overplayed on the radio. other than that, I don't mind her at all. some excellent party tunes.

I'm not a big fan of her at all but I saw her a couple of years ago at a festival and she was brilliant. I'd probably go see her again. But it costs too much :P

  • I watched her "Funhouse Tour-Live In Australia" dvd last night and she is actually amazing live. Her cover of Led Zep's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" blew me away. On top of having a major set of balls (check out her aerial skills) the girl has some serious vocal chops!

Maybe not standard Pearl Jam fan stuff, but credit where credit is due.

  • I saw Pink at MSG a few months ago, and she was ABSOUTELY AMAZING. Her voice is seriously under rated. If she were singing straight up rock music people would say she had the best female rock voice out there. She's a bad ass who just happens to make pop music.

All my love and respect to Pink.

  • yeah, i'd like to see her in concert sometime! she rocks!
  • I saw Pink here in Perth in August - I'm not a MASSIVE fan, but went because ...well...just went with some friends.....reasons aside....she put on a really good show...had broken ribs too from what I heard.....BUT...disclaimer here from one PJ fan to another : don't go expecting anything remotely close to a Pearl Jam gig or you will be bitterly disappointed. She plays a specified setlist every show...with maybe one or two changes.....her acrobatics are PHENOMENAL!!! She sings well, has a great voice and a GREAT body....and her show is really really good...but it's not a rock concert...it's more like a stageshow crossed with a rock concert......having said that, I would go again, it was worth it, and I have most of her albums.....just don't expect a PJ type show and you will be blown away.....she has good interaction with the crowd and it's really enjoyable......just not something I will get too over excited about.... :)
  • i took my daughter to the perth show this year, shes 7 and a huge pink fan..i was dreading it as poppy stuff is not my thing at all, but i actually enjoyed the show, not sure if it was watching my 7 go off like i would at a pearl jam show ( never been more proud of her hehe) or the fact that i was suprised that the chick can actually sing. Anyways for a pop show i was pretty impressed..
Oh dear dad Can you see me now I am myself
    Like you somehow

Yeah I saw her. Her voice when she uses it is excellent.

    2 points:

Far too much backing vocals - she really doesn't need to have them as she sounds so good when singing on her own
The act is more like a circus than a gig, incredible stuff.
Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit
Folks these days just don't do nothing simple for the love of it

Not a big fan of that type of pop music... but, caught Alicia at a Chevy Metal (Taylor Hawkins' side gig) show in Malibu. She sang with the Johnny Cash/Tom Petty cover band ('Petty Cash', formerly Juliette Lewis' band, The Licks) and they did a vesion of 'Free Fallin' that was really amazing. Her voice is incredible and man... that gal has a body!!!
What Pink needs to do is this... divorce herself from that Britney/Beyonce Diva crap... get a rock band together... go back and front the band as Alicia Moore... sing rock songs.
