    I agree with this one.
I found out about her when she was touring with John Doe and they swung by these parts. I went out a couple of days later and picked up a couple of her CDs. Really good music and she's a pretty damn good guitar player.
She's from Ottawa, but I've only seen her once. Was front row, sitting on the floor leaning on the stage. She pulled out a bottle of whiskey, took a swig, then gave it to me and my buddy for a shot. The most intimate show I've seen. Lots of stories, eye contact. She closed with 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart' (it was Valentines day) with Jim Bryson (her keyboard/guitar player) dancing with his wife onstage and her parents dancing next to me..

She dedicated a song to the troops in Afghanistan (she was over entertaining them on Christmas) and tears were welling up in her eyes. Beautiful moment, and just amazing amazing music.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

Country music is OK only when it's as good as this.

I don't know why but women love this.

Funny but not really country music. That's like Spinal Tap playing Majesty of Rock and calling it classical. ;)

I don't know you would put her in the real country music category but I have always enjoyed Victoria Williams.
