    in all seriousness tho, i do know what you mean. i spent a week with a friend in the hague, and joked that dutch really is not a language for dirty talk. :mrgreen:

    ITA. German is actually a very beautiful language... it gets a bad rap cause people think it's all aggressive, when it's really not... I find French far more aggressive sounding than German, but that's just me. I actually understand alot of German :)

    As for Australian accents... I'm constantly amused/bemused by people who are taken by Aussie accents :P

    there is something more irritating about it when it's a language you don't understand. I wonder why that is. Maybe because it's just noise to the listener rather than having meaning. My friend has studied these sorts of things, I should ask her.

    but you probably are bothered more by a foreign language because it stands out and doesnt just get lost in background noise maybe.
