Backpack query

Hi guys, I was just wondering what the rules have been at the Adelaide and Perth shows regarding taking backpacks into the fixer GA. Since it's going to be a scorcher in Melbourne I was planning on taking a backpack with water bottles and maybe some fruit or something to survive the experience. Any thoughts?

there were a few blokes (mainly teenagers actually) with backpacks right up front so i guess they are allowed in but as we were going inside the security were insistent on only taking in one bottle per person...you could buy as much as you wanted once inside but you might struggle bringing in a backpack full of bottles but good luck!

Yeah, backpacks are allowed but like The_Seppe said, only one bottle of water per person. And it must be sealed. And they take the lid off when you enter (so you can't throw it at anyone!). Also at Adelaide no food was allowed (also so you can't throw it at anyone). If I were you I would avoid taking a backpack as it really annoys everyone else!! Just wear a hat and take a small bit of sunscreen and a bottle of water and you'll be fine.

Thanks guys, I think I'll give the backpack idea a miss, sounds like too much potential for trouble!
