Today Revisited

My first topic here... Hope you enjoy it ^^

Today. I was born today.
Renewed. Refreshed.
Options wide open.
Now I leave my past.

Go back to the days.
When I was ignorant.
I looked and laughed.
Listened. Obeyed.

Today I start over.
Today I'm reborn.
I follow my own shadow.
Watching the skies.

I don't know where I'm going.
But I'm going somewhere.
Away from today.
I'm sorry, but I won't be returning.

I'm leaving today.
I have been given my choice.
Gulp down some air.
Now I bellow the truth.

I look back.
My, what a life.
Yet it is behind me.
I must step forward.

Today.
It has happened today.
It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets. --Voltaire
