and it was the Strokes-Is this It. Suprised? what do you think? i think it was a solid choice. it put rock on people's mind again, which was good. Maybe Kid A could have been there too!

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I dont believe thats the best album but is it not a vote? Those who voted get their fave band at top. Fair enough.

My fave albums are (excluding PJ)

Ray Lamontagne - Till the Sun Turns Black
    The Black Keys - Thickfreakness
    David Bowie - Reality

What are other peoples top 3 albums from the noughties?

    Hmmm

    Tool - Lateralus
    QOTSA - Lullabies to Paralyse
Robert Plant/Strange Sensation - Mighty Rearranger
    Radiohead - In Rainbows
    Them Crooked Vultures - S/T

I'd put any of those albums above the Strokes CD, even though it is good stuff.

I think its dumb to try and come up with the "best album of the decade," for many reasons, not the least of which is that a decade is a pretty arbitrary frame of time (why 2000-2010? Why not 95-05 or any other combination?) There's other reasons too...

...But, then you suggested Sleater-Kinney, The Woods, and I had to give pause to the idea...

probably cause when time was started being recorded, they decided when ten years were up that it was a decade! ( 0-10yrs bc )?? :D

You have to think, this is album of the decade. The Strokes certainly don't cut it for me, or for many people as it goes. The album hardly had an impact if you ask me...

You have to remember that one person's Strokes is another's Cannibal Corpse... and that opinions are like arseholes; everyone has one and they don't necessarily smell how you want them to ;)

I wasn't having a direct dig at you, I was merely stating MY opinion. You're right, you don't know me so please, don't be childish and call me an asshole. Re-read my post and see that I wasn't calling ANYONE any names. Maybe you should've made it clear that you were talking about the magazines opinion and not your own in the first place.

I PERSONALLY don't think The Strokes had a major impact. I'm sorry if you don't agree with that but that's just YOUR OPINION.

Have you tried yoga? I hear that's good for snappy tempers and stress relief...
