:D Should be a cracker between Ireland and Australia tomorrow... 3rd & 4th in the world. According to the BBC we're the favourites too and I think people at home are pretty confident... considering that we've only two changes since the grand slam winning team (although Paddy Wallace never inspires confidence in me  ) and our backs have improved dramatically since during the Lions tour (Bowe, Kearney & Fitzgerald to name three.)

Still... it's hard for me to get confident playing big teams like that... but there's absolutely NO reason for us not to hammer them. I was at the one three years ago where we played them during gale force winds and beat them by a record score... not ONE person left the stadium til it was over... even though we were all drenched and freezing and it was clear that we were gonna win. Here's hoping for more of that tomorrow :D AND it's on normal tv so I don't have to get me to a pub to watch :D
The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
Chicago 07? And love
What a different life
Had I not found this love with you

What are you sayin about Paddy Wallace??? the man's a legend. Main problem is keeping O Gara in there over Johnny Sexton.
Also, Hammer Oz??? I think you're jumping the gun a bit there. We're capable of beating them but it'll be a very tight game. I'm really looking forward to seeing Cian Healy play. He's a local boy. He went to my primary school and lives just down the road from me. Great to see him get to International level.

Wasn't it great seeing France stuff the South Africans yesterday too :D

I'm not a fan of France so I don't like to see them win :D but yep, a north v south victory is always good... let's hope it's not just France who can do it (as is often the case :( ). I know I don't have much reason to not like Wallace BUT, for Ireland, he's just never inspired confidence in me and always just seems like he doesn't belong there :( . I know it's irrational and I'll be delighted when he proves me wrong :D

I didn't say we WILL hammer them... but we're capable of it. I've no doubt it WILL be a tight game and I think it will be an 'ugly' forward game so it may well be a low score too.

New caps are always interesting... and at least we'll have at least one this month. Although I think with the stability and leadership we have in our team, another one wouldn't have been too many.

Oh and O'Gara'll be fine... he's got the big game mentality 99 times out of 100. How many big matches has he won for us? I don't doubt he'll be on the bench fairly quick if he's having a crap one.

True about O Gara on big games, but I really feel his form is slipping these days. Sure we'll see anyway. It should be a good game.
And no matter who South Africa are playing I will always be cheering for the others, because they are the dirtiest players in world rugby. I fucking despise the way they play.
Ever notice how every rugby thread on this board just ends up with us two arguing back and forth? :P

lol, yeh, and it never gets boring either :D . I'm bored with having nobody to discuss rugby with... NOBODY here cares at all... AT ALL! It's very very strange.

Yeh, of course he's slipping.. he's getting to that age now :( and couldn't keep his form up forever but I reckon he's got more than a few 'up's left in him.

You're right about South Africa... I just hate France cos they usually always beat us :D and cos they have NO female fans  it's just weird

Decent result. Great last 20 minutes. Obviously would've been happier with the win but we didn't really deserve it. Good to see Cian Healy play well on his debut.

Yep, he'd a great game... was playing like a back at times... reminded me of Gordon Darcy (at his best) the amount of ground he made. Before the game I would have been ok with the result and after the game I'm quite happy... it was very very tense at times. When Bowe's try was disallowed, I thought it was over  . You could tell the Aussie players were devastated though. How the fuck DOES O'Driscoll do it? How many times has that guy pulled it out of the bag for us? It's ridiculous :D

    Um... ok :D

On another note, it's only two and a half months til the six nations start up again  and with christmas in between, that should fly in.
