So i got some free tix to a rock fest tomorrow. The only band that I really want to check out is Jet. Any of these other bands worth a listen live? Papa Roach, Chevelle, Framing Hanley, Skindred, Hailstorm, Shawn Fisher & the JG's, Adelita's Way. And the smaller names on the second stage are: A Fall to Rise, Society Red, Broken Trust, Love Lies & Therapy, The embraced, Supercollide, Down Theory, Sumthin Else. Thanks!

well if you got free tix I say go anyway. It will give you something to do. I've seen Papa Roach 3 times (2 festivals, and opening for Nickelback. The NB ticket was free. Papa Roach is pretty solid live, but I don't like them enough to see them on a headlining gig.
Saw Framing Hanley at the same festival in May and they are alright. The album is so so. I don't really understand why they chose a cover song to introduce themselves to modern radio. (It is Lollipop by Lil' Wayne). I hate it when bands do that- what does that say about their own material??

Bottom line go and have fun. :D It will be an experience if anything and you may come back liking some bands you saw.

I don't know. I don't think so. Then again, I don't know a whole lot about them. Are you thinking of Limp Bisquick?

oh yeah, you're right. I had them mixed up with Seether.
I have heard some comparisons to Chevelle to Tool though - but i'm not very familiar obviously.

I would make a point of catching Chevelle. Haven't heard much of their new stuff but I liked their first couple of albums. I saw them back in the day, and they put on a good show.
