The trailer has some resemblance to the original.

We are probably the only household in the U.S. that doesn't have cable or dish so I guess I won't be watching it.

I've seen a ton of previews for this while watching Mad Men the past few weeks...it looks interesting. So this is just a miniseries, not a regular TV series???

    Yes. It's a 3 night ( 6 hour ) miniseries.

Subscription television is becoming obsolete! I tried cable for 17 months, but I stopped it 6 months ago. 80% of the shows I like are available for FREE on the internet. Well, I still pay for internet. My $36.95 per month internet access covers all of the TV I can watch, and I have almost-free phone service with a 'MagicJack.' So that one small bill includes all of my telecommunications!

Good point. I'm just too cheap to have any kind of subscription TV. I get frustrated when I can't watch baseball sometimes but I get around that by going over to my mom's.

Yes, even if you don't download torrents (which is very easy to do) you can get shows on HULU and on the broadcaster's web site as soon as the day after they air.

Never saw the show but love the Iron Maiden song which was inspired by the show.

  • The first part was pretty good. I'm guessing all the parts put together will make or break the series.
